Welcome to Oh Tapa!
A meeting place where tradition and innovation dance together in a romantic gastronomic adventure.
But how did this delicious story come about?
We present to you Manolo, a true die-hard worker, lover of his land of Almería and on the other hand, Maria Aïda, a tireless Galician, with a passion for work that surpasses even that of Manolo himself.
The setting of their peculiar meeting? The cozy town of La Garriga, where fate decided to unite their lives and their love for work. Together, they decided to open the modest “Bar Almeria”, a corner where their homemade tapas began to be appreciated: tripe, meat in sauce, croquettes, mussels, octopus…
Over three decades and, with the help of their three children taking their first steps between paellas, cups of coffee and glasses of liqueur, the successive restaurants Manolo I, II and III appeared, until arriving at the seafood restaurant Manolo IV and its exquisite Pop a la Galicia.
Then, in 2009, in the midst of the economic crisis, a new concept was born: Oh Tapa!
A fascinating adventure between the nostalgia of tradition, a current image and innovation in service. A brand that Jordi Castaño, son of Manolo and Maria Aïda, has consolidated within the gastronomic offer of the area and, later, in 2018, opens its doors to a new location in Parets del Vallès.
Despite this growth, the essence has not changed: the commitment to offering the best product, collaborating with local producers and maintaining its “homemade” identity that the protagonists of this story imprinted from the beginning.
At Oh Tapa! we continue to nurture the enthusiasm to continue giving the best service to our customers and friends, because, for us, every moment shared around a table is a reason to celebrate.
